Dr Zackary Chua is a senior consultant orthopaedic surgeon with dual specialisations in Foot & Ankle Surgery and Paediatric Orthopaedics. Backed by his extensive years of training and experience, Dr Chua brings the necessary knowledge and skills to ensure a smooth recovery journey.

Rooted firmly by two fundamental philosophies: “When one’s feet hurt, one hurts all over” and “Children are not little adults”, Dr Chua’s approach to patient care reflects his compassionate care for adults and children.

Dr Chua graduated from the University of Adelaide in Australia and pursued his orthopaedic specialist training in Singapore, completing it in 2017 under the National University Health System (NUHS). Subsequently, he joined KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital (KKH), where he made significant contributions to paediatric orthopaedic care. His initiatives at KKH include establishing the SG Clubfoot Babies support group on Facebook and supporting a multidisciplinary clinic for complex foot deformity reconstruction, addressing conditions such as foot drop, adolescent fractures, and flat foot surgery.

In 2019, Dr Chua was awarded the Human Manpower Development Programme (HMDP) award, enabling him to undertake fellowship training in foot and ankle surgery at the prestigious Oxford University Hospital NHS Trust in the UK.

Upon his return, he continued his work at KKH before transitioning to NUHS, where he established advanced services such as keyhole ligament reconstruction for ankle instability, ankle replacement, and minimally invasive bunion surgery.

Dr Chua has held academic appointments as a Clinical Lecturer at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore, an Adjunct Senior Lecturer at the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, Nanyang Technological University, and an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School. He is also a Physician Faculty Member for the Orthopaedic Surgery Residency Program at Singhealth Residency Singapore and serves as a reviewer for the Singapore Medical Journal.

Dr Chua is an active contributor to the field of orthopaedic surgery, with numerous publications in prestigious medical journals.
